📢 IPEC Cohort 2025/26 Participant Announcement! We’re delighted to announce that *Somerset Council has been selected as a participant in the 2025/26 IPEC Cohort Programme. Over the coming months, Somerset will work closely with IPEC experts to tackle the complex challenge of leveraging drone technology to transform asset management and environmental monitoring. This initiative aims to unlock major social benefits, cutting costs and carbon emissions, reducing risks, and improving the speed and safety of essential services for local authorities, the NHS, housing associations, and academic institutions across the South West FFIZ area. @[Corinne Matthews](urn:li:person:_ymRldVrso), Energy and Aerospace Sectors Lead at Somerset Council, shared: "Somerset Council is very excited to be part of the 2025 IPEC Cohort. Our mission as a Local Authority is to adopt more innovative processes to enable far more effective and efficient delivery of services for our communities. The IPEC professionals have already begun to challenge our thinking and open our eyes to the art of the possible. With their help we think that we can start adopting what might be thought of as novel approaches to environmental monitoring with Drone Tech applications, and embed this as mainstream business-as-usual activity within a reasonable time frame."
