🚦 Turning data into smarter transport for Cambridge
To support 44,000 jobs and 33,500 homes by 2031, the *Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) needed better transport data. The answer came in the form of AI-powered sensors from *VivaCity, capable of delivering far more granular, real-time insights. These sensors now capture diverse travel modes including walkers, cyclists, scooters, and more, feeding into a newly developed data platform and shared openly via Cambridgeshire Insights.
💡 Working with VivaCity, GCP:
â—¾ Piloted AI-powered sensors
â—¾ Designed a flexible procurement approach
â—¾ Deployed 106 sensors citywide
â—¾ Built a new data platform and shared it openly
This is what public sector innovation looks like: collaborative, data-led, and future-focused.
